Edward Albert Galea on 'Snorten Norton' - RAF Base in N. Africa. WWII

Click on the picture to explode it to full screen.

Hey Bobby - Here is one for your photo gallery - It took a while to find it, but the photo is my Dad in the late 30"s or early 40"s on a Snorten Norton in a clandestine airstrip in Tripoli, North Africa when he was with the RAF - I say clandestine as I showed it to a historian military friend and he said the numbers on the war planes did not match any records.

You'll notice the cover over the headlight so the light did not shine up in the sky as it would give their position away to the enemy above. I'm not a plane guy but I think those are mosquito fighters but not sure??

Peter Galea - Vancouver, BC, Canada

There's a very well written story about riding around Kyushu Island Japan and ending at "The Sturgis of Japan", or ride along with John and the Muskogee Motorcycle Club back in the 'old' days.....in a story from John Merriam, or how about following Peter Galea, Francis Galea and myself as we ride from Seattle to Las Vegas?

Much more! Just go to the search bar and type a search, or spend time going thru the archives (on the lower right side) to see many stories and pictures. Ride Safe, brothers and sisters!
